Yes, I imported them into the Elements 9 organizer. then I put all of the photos and videos into an album. I then went to Premiere Elements and started a new project. I brought them over from the album. at this point I tried to put them into the timeline. the photos went to the timeline but not the videos. that is when I got the message that the type of file is not supported or the required codec is not installed. thank you so much for your help.
