I found a more helpful troubleshooting process on a non-Adobe website. The update is now installed. In general I’ve found Adobe support leaves a lot to be desired.
Why is it that Adobe can’t make an update script that executes properly? I would think there’s plenty of technical expertise to publish operational software in a large company like Adobe. It makes the Adobe quality system seem very inadequate.
