My company has Adobe Reader XI installed on a Windows 2003 Server machine, with users running the Reader to participate in Shared Reviews. Intermittently, the Reader will crash (often upon first accessing a Shared Review PDF). No warning or messages appear. Our IT personnel see no record written to the logs of the application crash, but it clearly shuts down.
Details:
- Adobe Reader (v11.0.09.029) running on Windows 2003 Server box.
- Users running Windows 7 clients, connecting to server via Remote Desktop.
Additional:
- Each user has custom, dynamic stamps to use on the PDF documents. The dynamic stamps capture login ID and place it, along with the date, with the stamps.
- All reviews initiated by Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.
- Shared Review documents located on our own, internal server. (This is a different server than what is running the Adobe Reader software--the Reader opens the Shared Review PDFs stored on a shared drive.)
Any ideas?
