What is the file format type of your resume?  Microsoft Word or something else?

To convert documents to PDFs, you typically need a paid desktop app like Acrobat Pro or Standard.

However, Adobe Reader desktop and mobile products offer the Adobe online subscription service called "Adobe PDF Pack" to convert Word (and other formats such as Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, RTF) to PDF and export PDF to other file formats.

Please note that Adobe Reader for iOS itself is a PDF viewer and provides the basic functionality (such as viewing PDF and non-PDF documents, annotations, form filling, search, etc.) for free.  However, if you purchase the "Adobe PDF Pack" subscription, you will be able to convert documents from/to PDFs within the Adobe Reader app.  (Sorry, the conversion feature is not free.)

1. Open a non-PDF document (e.g. a Word document) in Adobe Reader for iOS using the iOS "Open In" feature.
2. Tap the following button in the top bar.
   

Once you convert your resume to PDF, you can open it in Adobe Reader for iOS and send it as an email attachment by tapping the Share button and selecting Share File from the menu that pops up.
