Re: Align text to baseline

Hello,

Thanks for your feedback.

Mylenium: outlines won't work because depending on the font, some characters overshoot the baseline and if one text has descenders and the other doesn't, that would also offset the levelling.

Jacob: I am familiar with that trick but I didn't manage to make it work in this instance.

JET: could not get that to function either.

Here is an example I suggest you try and let me know if your suggestions work (as I may have followed the instructions incorrectly). With the Type Tool, left click on the artboard and type: "allan" with Arial font Regular, size 12pt. Then select the Rectangle Tool, left click on the artboard and create a square of size 1in x 1in. (fill and stroke none). Then select the Type Tool again and go the square and type: "peter" in Arial font Regular, size 21pt. Now align the two objects to the baseline of allan and peter respectively. If any of your suggestions work with this example, please advise and I will try again to see what I'm doing wrong!

Thanks.
