CS6 doesn't recognize a graphics card

I am running Photoshop CS6 on a Cintiq Companion tablet.  I am unable to use any of the features such as rotate image or bristle brush preview because CS6 doesn't detect my graphic card.  This is not a matter of it detects the WRONG card - it doesn't detect ANY card.  As such, the checkbox to enable graphics processor is grayed out and unavailable.

On this same computer, I also have CS 5.5 and CC(2014) installed.  Both the older version and the newer version detect my graphics card correctly and I have no problem using the OpenGL based functions.  yes, I know I can just use one of these versions, but I was trying to do something that specifically called for CS6.  So, it would be great if someone could offer some advice.  Thanks.
