Photoshop Elements 12 or Premiere Elements 12 closes a second after opening program.

Hi,

I got Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 12 as part of a bundle with a printer (Canon MG6620). I installed it and put in the serial numbers as provided.

I click on Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 in my start menu, I get the start-up window that has the 'Organizer' button and the 'Photo Editor' button and when I click on the Photo Editor button, the program opens up and immediately closes with no error message. I can repeat this several times with no change.

Things I've tried so far

1. Updated Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 12 using Adobe update manager. No change
2. Used Compatibility mode for Vista, Windows server 2008. No change
3. Uninstalled and re-installed PE 12. No change
4. No entry logged in Event Viewer.
