I've found that adding a simple single-band compressor filter to my audio
clips pretty much eliminates the popping. I've only had it happen with the
filtration on maybe twice in the last several months.
However, I've recently discovered, at least for myself, that adding
compression to the audio clips causes problems queuing sequences in Media
Encoder from Premiere. Upon send, AME will open, however it will never
receive the data from Premiere and Premiere just hangs and needs to be
force quit. When the compression is removed, the sequences send just fine.
It's like trying to plug holes in a sinking boat. I'm running out of
fingers and toes here.
