Thanks, its hard to tell; but I do think I am seeing the issue in your screenshot, the left images are darker than the one on the right.
It's the lower left part of the image which shows the issue most, there should be a hazy slightly noisy misty look to the water .. and particularly if you see the orange lifebuoy on the pontoon it should appear circular; and not as a crescent, the unwanted darkening makes this into an orange crescent.
I'll post in the general photoshop forum and see if I can get some more opinions, it really does make a massive difference to me.
