If you're trying to duplicate this, as Monika says, it would be much more direct to trace it.
Envelope distortion assumes you have an undistorted original.
These appear to be custom characters and there would be no advantage in trying to figure out what they look like as undistorted characters.
If you want to do something "similar" but based on an existing font, then envelope distort is a great solution.
