Re: Adobe Indesign Interactivity

As pointed out by others here, InDesign is the WRONG tool for this type of interactive project.

Couple of options:

  • learn html, css, and javascript, and working with the DOM (document object model). Import all assets as bitmap graphics and/or SVG files. Build it using either canvas or DOM manipulation.
  • Use Adobe Animate CC. Learn basic commands to control the timeline and hide and show stuff. Export all assets and/or create them in Animate. Build it. Export to web.
  • Use a visual game engine like GDevelop 5 or Construct 3, Godot, or Game Maker Studio. Import all the assets you need as bitmap graphics. Build it. Export to web. (GDevelop and Godot are free)

In all cases you will have to learn new skills. With the second or third options it will take you up to a week to learn the basics and get going. The first option will take longer, unless you have coding experience (which you don't, it seems).
